Gibraltar International Conference 4 (GIC4)

The Human Sciences Faculty and the ILA (Institute of Applied Linguistics) are pleased to announce that the fourth Gibraltar International Conference will be held at the University of Cádiz from 6-8 May 2026.

Following on from the success of previous editions held in Cambridge, Vigo and Basel, this conference aims to continue raising awareness and provide a forum for the growing interest in Gibraltar studies. Its proximity to Gibraltar makes Cádiz an ideal setting and springboard from which to explore and learn firsthand about the Rock. This event seeks to bring together scholars, researchers, and postgraduate students from diverse fields, including linguistics, literary studies, history and cultural studies to examine Gibraltar’s unique heritage and landscape.
